The Role
Influential position in a growing and evolving logistics group, responsible for modernising and maturing the safety function in a fast-paced environment.
This is a highly visible role with both strategic and operational responsibilities. The successful candidate will bring a balance of Board-level presence, team leadership, and hands-on focus.
With distinct business units, the group is working to create a unified, best-in-class safety culture, with Executive appetite for uplift and alignment.
Key initiatives include:
- Reducing duplication across the group and embedding standardisation
- Developing behavioural and critical risk models, moving beyond compliance-based approaches
- Supporting and leading system integration
Position requirements:
- Executive presence with the ability to engage at Executive and Board level
- A strong coach and mentor, capable of leading and developing a large, diverse team
- Demonstrated experience in high-risk operational environments (transport or logistics experience not essential)
- Experience leading cultural change and safety maturity uplift
- A hands-on leader – comfortable working at pace and leaning into operations
- Effectiveness in achieving harmonisation across multiple business units
Location & Travel
- Based in Melbourne’s north-west
- Occasional interstate travel
Remuneration & Benefits
- Base salary: $250,000-$275,000 + super
- 20% discretionary bonus
