Join the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW at Sydney Showground—home to major music festivals, sporting events, exhibitions and the iconic Sydney Royal Easter Show.

This is a hands-on, exciting WHS opportunity for someone who loves events, is great with people, and wants to build their career in a dynamic environment.
The Role As our WHS Advisor, you’ll be boots on the ground supporting safe set-ups and operations across a huge range of events.

You’ll work closely with the Head of WHS and Venue Operations, partnering with event organisers, contractors and internal teams.
Your day could include:
  • Inspecting staging, electrical, LPG, vehicle access and crowd flow
  • Supporting emergency procedures & incident response
  • Working through bump-in/bump-out risks
  • Sitting in event planning meetings and identifying hazards
  • Engaging with everyone onsite to keep events safe and running smoothly
This is pure event safety—not a desk job.

Why You’ll Love It
  • Work across festivals, concerts, exhibitions, sporting events + more
  • Flexible hours + 1 day WFH
  • Free onsite parking
  • Time in lieu for event hours
  • Additional leave entitlements during the 12-day Easter Show
  • Supportive leadership + a growing safety team with big investment
About You
  • Personable, confident and great at engaging with people
  • Comfortable working onsite and negotiating practical safety solutions
  • Interested in events, venues, production or hospitality environments
  • Happy to work some weekends/evenings during major events (TOIL provided)
  • Early–mid career in WHS or coming from a transferable high-risk environment
Event safety experience is ideal, but not essential.
