The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to step into a highly strategic environmental leadership role where you'll have the autonomy to influence environmental performance across a complex national manufacturing business.

Reporting to the Safety Transformation Director, you'll be the organisation's environmental subject matter expert, partnering with leaders across multiple business units to drive environmental strategy, manage risk and build long-term capability.

Rather than owning day-to-day compliance activities, you'll focus on the bigger picture—identifying opportunities for improvement, providing expert advice, leading strategic initiatives and helping operational leaders embed best-practice environmental management into their businesses.

Working across a diverse portfolio, you'll have exposure to a broad range of environmental challenges, from waste and resource recovery through to licensing, energy, refrigeration, environmental risk and continuous improvement. It's a role that offers variety, influence and the opportunity to genuinely shape environmental outcomes.

What you'll be doing
As the Environmental Risk & Assurance Leader, you'll work across the business to:
  • Provide strategic environmental advice to operational and executive leaders.
  • Develop and implement environmental strategies, frameworks and improvement initiatives.
  • Coach and influence leaders to build environmental capability and ownership.
  • Partner with business units to manage environmental risk and support compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Lead environmental improvement projects across manufacturing operations.
  • Benchmark environmental performance and identify opportunities to adopt best practice.
  • Collaborate with internal and global stakeholders to continually improve environmental performance.
Why this role?
This is an opportunity to step away from purely operational environmental management and focus on where you can add the greatest value.
You'll have the chance to influence decision-making, lead meaningful projects and help shape how environmental risk is managed across a large and diverse manufacturing business. The role offers plenty of autonomy, exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to make a genuine impact without the responsibility of managing a team.

How to Apply
If you're looking for an opportunity to influence environmental strategy, lead meaningful projects and make a genuine impact within a complex national organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
